Come celebrate America’s big birthday party here on Cape Cod at the Lighthouse Inn! Besides soaking up the quintessence of coastal New England beauty here at the doorstep of Nantucket Sound, you’ll also be perfectly poised to take in some of the Fourth of July celebrations our island cooks up each year.

Here’s a quick look at some of your options for fireworks and other Independence Day festivities during a height-of-summer Cape Cod escape to the Lighthouse Inn.

Sandwich Fireworks

The Fourth of July festivities in Sandwich—which include both street and boat parades—will climax with a fireworks show at Shawme Pond, slated to begin at roughly 9:30 PM on Thursday the 4th.

Falmouth Fireworks

There’ll also be fireworks on the Fourth at Falmouth Heights Beach, which’ll have an accompanying soundtrack broadcast over the radio on PIXY 103.

Hyannis Fireworks

The Hyannis fireworks on the Fourth of July blast forth over Lewis Bay at dusk, with prime viewing from the harborfront and West Yarmouth beaches.

Provincetown Fireworks

You can watch the Provincetown Harbor fireworks at dusk on the 4th onshore or offshore; many boats take in the show from the water.

Fireworks Displays Around the Fourth of July

The Mashpee Middle/High School will host a fireworks display on Monday, July 1st beginning around 8:45 PM, though family activities, games, food, and more will precede the sky show starting at 5 PM.

On Saturday, July 6th, meanwhile both Orleans and Onset will be presenting their own fireworks spectacles, in case you’ll be joining us for Fourth of July weekend.

Post-Fourth Pyrotechnics: The All American Dennis Chamber Fireworks

We’d be remiss not mentioning our local community of West Dennis’s annual fireworks bonanza, even though it doesn’t actually take place on the Fourth of July. The All American Dennis Chamber Fireworks show will be going off at West Dennis Beach beginning at 6:45 PM. Something to consider for an August visit to the Lighthouse Inn…
